Laksa Shift team in Singapore
About Us

We believe AI adoption works best when it's built from within

Laksa Shift was founded on the principle that organisations don't need to be transformed by AI — they need to understand it, at their own pace, in ways that fit how they actually work.

Our Story

Started by practitioners, not theorists

Laksa Shift grew from a frustration shared by its founding team: most AI consultancy for businesses felt detached from the daily realities of how people actually worked. Advice was often generic, jargon-heavy, and designed to impress rather than equip.

We set out to do the opposite. Based at 16 Collyer Quay in Singapore's central business district, our team combines backgrounds in organisational development, applied machine learning, business process design, and adult learning. That mix is deliberate — because AI adoption is as much a people challenge as a technical one.

Since our founding, we've worked with SMEs and mid-sized organisations across Singapore and the wider Southeast Asian region, helping them build the understanding, strategy, and internal capability to use AI tools with confidence and care.

Our Mission

To make AI adoption a considered, human-led process — one where organisations move at a pace that suits them, with clarity about what they're doing and why.

Our Approach

Collaborative, evidence-led, and calibrated to context. We spend as much time listening as advising, because no two organisations have the same readiness level, culture, or operational priorities.

Our Values

Transparency, intellectual honesty, and deep respect for the people inside the organisations we work with. We don't oversell outcomes, and we won't recommend approaches that don't fit your situation.

How We Work

Standards we hold ourselves to

Data Privacy & Confidentiality

We treat all client information, processes, and strategic discussions as strictly confidential. NDAs are standard. All work is conducted in accordance with Singapore's PDPA.

Responsible AI Principles

Our engagements embed responsible AI considerations from the start — including fairness, transparency, and human oversight — drawing on international frameworks adapted for local context.

Professional Development Standards

Our learning programmes align with SkillsFuture-relevant competency frameworks where applicable, supporting your organisation's broader workforce development goals.

Evidence-Based Methods

We document assumptions, measure outcomes, and share findings honestly — including when results don't support moving forward. Our prototyping track is specifically designed to generate reliable evidence.

Continuous Feedback Loops

Every engagement includes structured check-ins and feedback mechanisms. If something isn't working, we adjust quickly rather than waiting until the end.

Regional Awareness

We stay current with AI regulation, policy, and adoption trends in Singapore and Southeast Asia, ensuring our guidance is contextually grounded rather than generically global.

AI integration expertise rooted in Singapore business practice

The adoption of artificial intelligence tools in everyday business operations is one of the more consequential decisions an organisation can make today. Done well, it strengthens capability, frees up human attention for more complex work, and creates durable competitive advantage. Done poorly, it introduces confusion, erodes trust, and consumes resources without meaningful return.

Laksa Shift approaches this reality with a clear view: sustainable AI adoption depends on people understanding what they're working with, why it's being introduced, and how to use it with appropriate judgment. Our services — the Planning Workshop, Literacy Programme, and Workflow Prototyping engagement — each address a different dimension of this challenge.

For Singapore organisations navigating AI, we offer a grounded, unhurried, and professionally rigorous path forward. We measure our success by the capability your team builds, not by the impressiveness of our deliverables.
